Would it be an understatement to say “things are changing every day”?
A month ago, I never imagined church would be canceled. If someone would have told me so, I would have said, “no way”. But here we are…no church.
One thing that does stay the same is that bills still come in and need to be paid. And New Life is no exception. The stack of envelopes on the table next to me is proof.
Having said that, we are grateful for every one of you for your support – in the past, now, and in the future. It won’t be long until we are back together, and how much more we will celebrate being able to do so!
For some time now, the deacons have discussed ways to make giving easier utilizing online giving and text-to-give. The current Coronavirus crisis seems to demand movement on this. We have been in touch with our accounting and membership software provider, and they do offer online giving. We have applied, the application approved, and we are working to set up the process.
In the meantime, checks are good – as always. They can be mailed to the church to my attention. The checks will go into my mailbox and be deposited on a regular basis.

As an immediate, temporary alternative to mailing a check, you may utilize two other possibilities:
PayPal
PayPal is simple to use. For now, the link will take you to the PayPal home page. You’ll need to log in or set up an account. If you choose to use the Friends and Family send option, along with a linked checking account, NLBC will not be charged a service fee. For step by step instructions, please click here.
Zelle
Zelle is a payment service available at most banks through their online portals and smartphone apps.
Each service is fairly simple and straightforward to use. Gifts should be sent referencing this email address: GIVING@NLBCLITH.ORG
Thank you for taking a moment to read this. Please continue to pray for those affected by this illness.
