Streaming
Our Pastor and Deacons met on Monday night, March 16, to discuss how we should respond to the new mandate to limit crowds to less than 50 people. We very much believe that God is control of the situation with COVID-19 virus. It has not caught Him off guard but He will use it to carry out His will and glorify His name. After much discussion and prayer, we decided that we are going to a complete online service starting Sunday, March 22, until further notice.
We are streaming the services on Facebook Live, YouTube, and have set up a special Live Service page on our website. We will try to keep the service format close to the normal Sunday format but we might need to be flexible. We are working on ways to have Adult Sunday School, College & Career, and CREW continue in some format as well.
We are working on trying to improve the streaming experience. We are adding additional equipment and exploring increasing our bandwidth. We are trying to add chat to make it more interactive and help people feel connected.
Also, we know that Jason, Pastor Mark’ son, because of his condition has a weak immune system and is at more risk by the virus. We want to try to limit Pastor’s possible exposure so, please, only required people needed to hold and produce the live stream should come to the church on Sunday mornings.
Giving
As a church we only operate on gifts and offerings. We have a very lean and tight budget. We ask our members to please continue to give so we can stay financially stable. We are working on getting online giving up and running as quick as possible, but in the meantime please mail your offerings to the church at 9228 Trinity Drive, Lake In The Hills, IL, 60156.
